Mac Elrod

This is fjm_elrodor everyone who wants to wish Mac a (belated!) happy birthday and to thank him for sharing his incomparable knowledge of cataloging. I made this card from a word cloud of the subject lines of Mac’s posts to Autocat from the period of 2015-2016, and from his very first year, 1996-1997 using Tagul. I also based the shape from a picture of him from an online conference when I was lucky enough to be included as a virtual speaker. I thought he looked especially snazzy. Please share your best wishes below.

Mr. Elrod, Mac, please pardon the formality; not sure if we ever met via AUTOCAT; do know of your many, many, and numerous contributions, ideas, questions, and the occasional answers that you provided. Sir, truly I hope and pray that you had a glorious birthday; likewise I pray that you AND your family will have a blessed Easter. No doubt: you have closed yet another "chapter" in your very own book of life experiences, AND you have clearly opened a new "chapter" in your own book; may you open and close many more chapters in the years and decades to come. Respectfully, /s/ Peter S. Lust, LA II, Mabie Law Library, Davis, California
