This is for everyone who wants to wish Mac a (belated!) happy birthday and to thank him for sharing his incomparable knowledge of cataloging. I made this card from a word cloud of the subject lines of Mac’s posts to Autocat from the period of 2015-2016, and from his very first year, 1996-1997 using Tagul. I also based the shape from a picture of him from an online conference when I was lucky enough to be included as a virtual speaker. I thought he looked especially snazzy. Please share your best wishes below.
Happy Birthday! Your common sense, user-centered approach to cataloging has been a model for me through the years of what cataloging should be. Thanks for all you've done for catalog users.
Happy Birthday, Mac! I have a notebook full of your Autocat posts and "cheat sheets" for which I am very grateful. Best wishes.

Happy Belated Birthday, Mac. We started on AUTOCAT at the same time. Me, as a newbie cataloger fresh out of library school and you, as a friendly, practical, and helpful expert. I learned so much from your posts and am so grateful for your willingness to participate in so many conversations.
