True enough, but if someone is confused by “Un cœur en hiver” vs. “Un coeur en hiver”
they will be beyond all hope if they see “Film par Film et Cinéa présentent…” or “Daniel Auteuil, Emmanuelle Béart….”
Typographical anomalies a separate issue, but I admit, it’s an important one.
A very difficult example is: how is a Russian speaker supposed to know that “Броненосец Потёмкин” (Eisenstein’s film, Battleship Potemkin) is to be found under “Bronenoset︠s︡ “Potemkin” (Motion picture)” but the uniform title for the script is under Eisenstein’s personal name “Eisenstein, Sergei, 1898-1948. Potemkin.” And if you want to find materials on the battleship itself, you look under “Bronenoset︠s︡ “Potemkin”” as a corporate name.
All of this is romanized, of course.
